About:  Mark A Henry

    Born in Merced, California, Mark traveled extensively with his military family. In his youth he lived in all but a few of the United States and spent his teenage years in Okinawa. After attending Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, he became a frame conservator for the Ringling Museum of Art and later worked as a set designer for the Ringling Brothers Circus and Disney on Ice. That was then. Now "retired" in Weaverville, NC Mark holds classes and workshops at his studio and continues to draw and paint the exquisite, inspiring and ever-changing landscape of Western North Carolina. All of the frames you see here are designed and built by the artist to complement each art piece. Breathe deeply. Beauty surrounds us.
